Merryn Allingham is the author of the ‘Daisy’s War’ trilogy, set in India and wartime London during the 1930s and 40s.   Published by Mira, the books hit the Kindle top 20 bestseller list in eBook and The Bookseller ‘Heatseeker’ list in paperback.  THE BUTTONMAKER’S DAUGHTER, set in Summerhayes, an idyllic Sussex country house during World War I, was published by HQ in January. The second in the Summerhayes sequence, THE SECRET OF SUMMERHAYES, set in World War II, was published in July by HQ.

Having started her career as a secretary, and then as cabin crew with an international airline, Merryn eventually gained a PhD from the University of Sussex where for many years she taught literature, specialising in the nineteenth century.   She now lives in Lewes, East Sussex.
